Training - Optomechanical Systems Projects (OP-003)

Course brochure

Course summary

It explores the concepts necessary to undertake an optomechanical project. The theoretical foundations, design appropriate strategies, aspects of manufacturing, assembly and testing are illustrated with several real systems, explained in detail from beginning to end.

Course content and index

At whom the course is oriented

Mechanical engineers and physicists who want to train themselves in opto-mechanical design or expand their knowledge.

Previous grounding

Attendees with a knowledge of the fundamentals of mechanical engineering and associated terminology will make better use of the course. Nevertheless, as we review briefly the concepts used, the course can be followed by physicists and engineers in general.

What this course is not

One academic course of mechanical engineering neither an optics course. It's not a finite elements course.

At the end of this course, attendees will get

  • Have an overview of opto-mechanical systems, their characteristics and applications.
  • Learn the strategies and design aspects that have proven as most effective, and the main parameters to be considered.
  • Learn, with real examples experience, the system design phases by studying in detail from its genesis to its manufacture.
  • Obtain complete information that will provide reference to undertake similar opto-mechanical design.
